PT Dan Liris proudly marks its 51st anniversary since its founding on 25th April, 1974, by Mr. Handoko and Mr. Handiman Tjokrosaputro, as part of a continued legacy initiated by the first generation, Mr. Kasom Tjokrosaputro.

The name Dan Liris is derived from the Javanese phrase Udan Liris, meaning “gentle drizzle” – a symbol of steady growth and nurturing, just as soft rain supports the strong development of crops. This spirit continues to guide our vision for sustainable, consistent growth. Today, under the leadership of the third generation, Ms. Michelle Tjokrosaputro – supported by over 5,000 employees and mentored by Mrs. I.P. Elizabeth Sindoro – PT Dan Liris remains a leader in Indonesia’s textile and garment industry.

Facing the challenges of an increasingly competitive landscape, Dan Liris embraces a bold transformation toward Industry 4.0, focusing on Digitalization, Innovation, and Sustainability. These pillars are central to our commitment to responsible business practices and environmental stewardship.

Our digital transformation incorporates technologies such as IoT, data analytics, and artificial intelligence to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resources. On the sustainability front, Dan Liris has implemented eco-friendly materials, renewable energy sources, and sustainable manufacturing techniques.

Our anniversary celebrations took stock of how far the company has come and how much there is to look forward to in the future. Events during the celebrations focused on bringing about employee unity and creativity, as well as marking the launch of new initiatives:

New Uniform Launch
After nearly two decades, Dan Liris introduced a new blue-and-white uniform symbolizing a fresh spirit across our workforce. Free lunch was also provided for all employees in celebration.

5.1K Fun Run
Promoting health and well-being, the fun run around the Dan Liris area emphasized the importance of physical fitness for workplace productivity.

Competitions
Activities such as tumpeng decoration, pop song creation, volleyball, and TikTok contests encouraged employees to showcase their talents and strike a healthy work-life balance.

Bazaar and Art Performances
A group-wide product bazaar and an open market gave employees the opportunity to display their culinary and creative talents. An art stage offered each unit a chance to present their artistic skills and strengthen camaraderie.
